More than 90% of cord blood units cannot be used for hemopoietic transplantation due to low stem cell count. About 50% of those units can be recovered for other therapeutic applications.

PLATELET GEL

Cord blood platelet gel is a blood component for non-transfusion use rich of multiple tissue regenerative and unique immunomodulatory factors. The platelet gel bag provides an aseptic connection with the processing system’s platelet concentrate bag.

EASY OPENING

BioNest Platelet Gel incorporates a patented easy-open feature, removing the need for sharp instruments to access the bag’s contents. This design element prevents contamination and reduces the risk of spillages, ensuring safer and more efficient handling.

RBC LEUKOREDUCTION

The BioNest system is designed with an integrated filtration mechanism specifically tailored for the safe transfusion of cord blood red blood cells (RBCs) in premature newborns. This cutting-edge application is currently the subject of ongoing clinical
trials and experimental protocols.
