A proportion of platelets originally prepared for transfusion are not used for this purpose and are discarded after 5 – 7 days of storage. These platelets can be recovered before expiration to prepare 12 aliquots for non-transfusion use.

PLATELET GEL

Adult donor platelet gel is a blood component for non-transfusion use rich of multiple tissue regenerative factors. The platelet gel bag provides an aseptic connection with the processing system’s platelet concentrate bag.

EASY OPENING

BioNest Platelet Gel incorporates a patented easy-open feature, removing the need for sharp instruments to access the bag’s contents. This design element prevents contamination and reduces the risk of spillages, ensuring safer and more efficient handling.
